Why am I doing this?

Over the last decade, I have had several opportunities to work with AWS technologies and become familiar with a number of its services such as S3, RDS, and EC2. However, my knowledge of these services is somewhat shallow, as I tend to learn only the minimum required to complete the tasks assigned by my clients. This is the reality of consultancy - few clients will pay you to learn new technologies.

My motivation

Why I Started a Personal Blog As a senior software consultant, finding contracts has never been a problem for me. So why did I decide to start a personal blog? After some introspection, I came up with a number of compelling reasons: Hone My Writing Skills and Build Confidence English is not my first language, and I’ve always struggled with writing in English. However, I know that writing is a valuable skill that can always be improved.

Here we go! I’m taking time off from consulting. I decided to create my own personal web site. This is it. It’s a start and I expect it will evolve over time. I’m not using Wordpress though. I use Hugo, I’ll explain the reasons why and the technology stack I use in follow up posts.
